Here is my Gameplay of Aiyra of Chaper 1, would be good to watch if you are interested in playing this game.

For my experience it is a good game to play. It has easy Controls a good story and a good 2d quality

Hello, I played your game today for a bit and it was a wonderful experience!

The platforming controls were very smooth and the story was quite interesting. The standout for me was the audio (the music, ambience and voice acting was awesome!) and the fire guardian chase scene (it was intense and very well executed). The music and ambience gets an extra shoutout for being really great - both in the levels and in the menu.

The introduction was very well written (and voiced) but the in-game dialogues need some more proofreading and editing, as I found some grammatical and spelling errors. Note: this is only for English.

The level design was good, in terms of the puzzle-platforming parts. However, in a few areas I felt that the walls were a bit too crammed and I wasn't getting the space to properly move or jump without unintentionally bumping into walls.

I had noted some very minor issues which can be fixed/improved:

  • The falling leaves in the background of the main menu are nice, but sometimes they disappear abruptly. I actually have a very similar particle system in my game and I gradually decrease their opacity over time. Another option is to shrink them over time.
  • When I held the down arrow key, the footsteps sound was playing constantly even though the player wasn't moving.
  • While trying to use the level up points, the arrows shoot when I'm clicking on the menu. You can disable attacks while that menu is open.
  • Enemies can be heard from off screen, this sometimes confused me. Maybe you can use 3D audio to make it more faint.
  • Some weird animation issues when I was pushing the boxes around (sometimes it played in slow motion and sometimes too fast).
  • The fire guardian boss dropped too many potions, it was a bit too easy.

These were all very tiny things that I noticed in my playthrough. Overall I enjoyed the game immensely and will be going back to it to finish it till the end!

Congratulations on making the game!

Feel free to reach out to me on Discord (Iman in the GJ+ server).

Hey! Thank you so much for the play test and the feedback. We'll go through each of the points that you mentioned and try to improve it. As this is a very early version, and we really intend to publish the game, feedbacks like yours are essential! Thank you so much for the help! As soon as we work on the topics and release a new version, we'll let you know!

For some reason my load button stays greyed out. I can't find a save button anywhere and the campfires at the tents dont initiate a save file for me. Im a missing something?

I have to restart everytime a launch the game

Hey, thanks for playing our game! We're looking to improve it, but at the moment,  the game has an auto save feature, that saves at the beginning of each level. So you need to complete the level in order to enable the continue button.

No thank you for developing it!
Hmm that is odd, I'm quite sure I passed a level and proceeded to a new level, but the auto save didn't trigger.

Hey, we just found out a bug on load and restart button that is reseting some attributes from the player, gonna fix that in the next version this week! Thanks a lot for the report :D

Na segunda fase, tem um momento em que a câmera pára de acompanhar a personagem no eixo vertical

Obrigado pelo report! Vamos dar uma verificada!

Hey Devs!

Thanks for reaching out on this one, I had a blast playing through it. It was a little rough around the edges but hopefully my gameplay helps plan out future development. Looking forward to checking out chapter 2!

Thanks! It really helps a lot to improve the game!
